I am happy to present you the second single of the new album! A song about childhood and disenchantment. The great innocent souls are like the flutter of goldfinch wings.
The inspiration came from Raphael’s painting: La Madonna del Cardellino (1506, Uffizi). In that painting Jesù and San Giovanni play with a goldfinch like two children unaware of the roughness of the world. I watched my daughter play with another child and the scene of the two children came to mind.
The song was interpreted by the magnificent Caterina Pontrandolfo, with whom we have been collaborating for 15 years. Percussion is an excellent work by Michele Maione, artist of the frame drums with which I have already had the pleasure of working. I am also proud to introduce a new guest: Carmine Ioanna, a true accordion talent.
