“Souvenirs d’un autre monde” is the single that anticipates the release of the album “Cries and Whispers” by Corde Oblique. After 4 years the band comes back with a new full length album of 12 songs, 10 of which are originals and two covers.

The first single is a cover by the French band Alcest. This time too, as in every album, Corde Oblique arranged a cover, as often they do, by a Metal band, transforming the original track into an acoustic song, with classical guitar played in fingerstyle, violins and ethereal voices.

The title “Cries and Whispers” is a tribute to Ingmar Bergman’s omonymous movie “CRIES AND WHISPERS” and alludes to the division of the album into two volumes

“I heard this song by Alcest in 2017, we played at the same festival in Germany, I fell in love with it and decided to re-arrange it in our way.”

“Souvenirs d’un autre monde” è il singolo che anticipa l’uscita del disco “Cries and Whispers” dei Corde Oblique. Dopo 4 anni la band torna in studio per un nuovo full lenght album di 12 brani, di cui 10 originali e due cover.

Il primo singolo è una cover della band francese Alcest. Anche questa volta, come In ogni album, i Corde Oblique inseriscono una cover, spesso di una band Metal, trasformandola in un brano acustico, con chitarra classica suonata in fingerstyle, violini e voci eteree.

Il Titolo “Cries and Whispers” è un tributo all’omonimo film di Ingmar Bergman “SUSSURRI E GRIDA” e allude alla suddivisione dell’album in due volumi
