“A step to lose the balance” (released on November 8, 2024), is the second single from the new Corde Oblique album “Cries and Whispers” (“Sussurri e Grida”), the full album will be released on February 14, 2025.
While the first acoustic single “Souvenirs d’un autre monde” was taken from Vol. 2 (Sussurri/”Whispers”), this second single opens the way to Vol. 1 (Grida/“Cries”), in an electric/prog rock key.
The song, entirely instrumental, is divided in three parts.
The title (“one step to lose balance”) alludes to the need to lose balance in order to take a step forward, to the urgency of change, now physiological after a creative journey lasting more than twenty years.
The sounds are completely distorted in comparison to the Corde Oblique of the early days, which were exclusively acoustic.
The photographic work of this single is also signed by the Indonesian photographer Hardijanto Budiman, already winner of many Awards in many countries around the world, author of the cover photos and booklet of the upcoming album.
