“John Ruskin” is the third single from the album “Cries and Whispers” from Corde Oblique. The song has contaminations from metal to postrock. The text on the first part is a quote from the great English art historian, mentor of the Pre-Raphaelites.

The second part is instead sung in hopelandic, the language of verses, inspired by Sigur Ros.

We didn’t use any midi, samplers or sequences, apart from the good old metronome.”

This song was released in another version in 2023 with the EP “Leaver”, the new 2024 version has been fully rerecorded and rearranged with real bass and drums, plus mixed on an SSL console, and is included in the new album “Cries and Whispers”
